Pfizer training

Pfizer have developed their healthy partnership strategy, working more closely with community pharmacy and needed a sales team that could understand the community pharmacy environment. Following a successful sales briefing, balance worked with the training and commercial teams to develop a series of representative training modules which cover the Government strategies such as the White Paper, Pharmacy in England: building on strengths, delivering the future, pharmacy contractual frameworks, funding mechanisms and parallel policies within Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. The modules have been very well received and have helped to build representative confidence in the field.

Abbott Diabetes Care pharmacy diabetes adherence pack

Abbott Diabetes Care wanted to provide their community pharmacy customers with support in their interactions with patients with diabetes, particularly blood glucose monitoring. An adherence support pack was developed by balance to add value to community pharmacists, patient care and support their marketing strategy and market penetration. The pack has been designed to be easily accessible, practical and relevant to a community pharmacist conducting a patient consultation. The pack includes information on Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, NICE guidance, use of insulin, glucose monitoring, adherence consultation guide, healthy living advice and patient information on managing either hypo or hyperglycaemia. The pack has received College of Pharmacy Practice accreditation.

TEVA MUR resource pack

As the world's leading generic company, Teva wishes to add real value to community pharmacy beyond competitive pricing alone. An extensive Medicines Use Review (MUR) Resource Pack was developed which provided pharmacists with practical and accessible tools to enable them to deliver more MURs and maximise their Advanced Service income. balance developed all MUR pack resource content and managed the project with multi-functional input from the Teva team; Junction 11 produced the advertising, artwork and design. The MUR resource pack was awarded the SMaRT award for Best Educational Initiative for Pharmacists 2007.
